CHristmas Food Drive Underway December 04, 2007 16th Annual Drive Has Hopes for High Turnout

The 16th Annual Christmas Food Drive Competition has begun. All students (and staff) are invited to bring in BOXED or CANNED food items into their homeroom. The homeroom that donates the most items will be rewarded with a free breakfast in January courtesy of SCN. Local food pantries see an increase of customers this time of year and with the addional colder weather, the numbers have been even higher. In years past, SCN has been responsible for restocking the supplies on several local food pantries in order that they have the food they need through the Holidays and into the New Year. The goal of the drive is that each student would bring in at least three items. If this were to happen, the total food donated would be over 4600 items. The drive runs through December 18. Each homeroom was provided a bag for the food collections and when the bag is full, it should be delivered to room 152.
