Pajama Drive surpasses last year's total donations! November 24, 2009 148 Union County children will go to bed warm!!

SCN conducted it's 2nd annual Jammie Drive to benefit the Pajama Project, an organization dedicated to collecting PJs for needy children throughout the United States. Under the supervision and organization of Mrs. Chandler, athletic department secretary at SPFHS, 148 jammies were collected through bags placed in period one classes. A free breakfast was offered to the homeroom that donated the most PJs and Mrs. Brand and Mrs. Hofer tied for first place. Both first period classes received their free breakfast before the Thanksgiving Break. Many thanks go to the students, faculty and staff that contributed jammies to the drive. The boxes that were placed in the Main office and Front Office yielded many jammies, so thanks go to all staff who didn't have a period one class but contributed anyway. SCN would not have been able to complete this project without the help of Mrs. Chandler, who brought this idea to SCN last year. THANK YOU, Mrs. Chandler!!
