Food Drive to Aid Local PAntries January 15, 2010 Homerooms Compete for Breakfast

CN' 18th annual Christmas Food Drive once again saw several homerooms competing for the free breakfast. The homerooms of Mrs. Hofer, Mrs. Mazarella, and Mrs Brand went almost to the wire, trading off first place over the last several days until Mrs. Brand pulled ahead on the last two days to win the breakfast. Over 1450 items were colected, a significant drop compared to past food drives. The receiving agencies of Heart for Humanity and Union COunty Services were appreciative of the food that was donated to them, and with the economy that way that it is, the food will go a long way in helping those hit especially hard during the recession. Thanks to ALL homerooms and staff that participated and contributed.
