Relief for Haiti Earthquake Victims: Projects Begin
1. Winter Spectacular
All club members should attend the Winter Spectacular Dance on Friday here at the high school. The SGA has decided to donate ALL proceeds to service clubs within the high school, and ulitimately, for relief for the victims of the Haiti earthquake. Make every effort to attend. Buying a ticket is helping Haiti, as well as supporting another organization in the school. You'll only end up hanging out with your friends on Friday night anyway, so why not hang out at the dance and support a good cause at the same time.

2. Dollar Day
Tomorrow is Dollar Day. Every SCN member needs to sign out a donation envelope and collect a dollar from classmates and teachers tomorrow. Please ask your teachers to make a brief announcement about SCN abd BSU supporting the Haiti relief efforts, and then ask for the donations. Walk around the lunch room during your lunch periods and ask students to donate a dollar or all their pocket change. Enevelopes should be returned to Mr. Stevens or Mr. Capron.

3. Help for Haiti Telethon.
The telethon is tentatively scheduled for Friday, February 26. SCN is hosting this event with the AV Club and Amnesty International. There will be a LOT of work that needs to go into this massive project and we are looking for EVERYONE to help. Check the website for details as well as more detailed information at next week's meeting.

4. We will continue to honor our volunteer commitments at the soup kitchens, the thrift shop and hospice. There are plenty of slots open to volunteer so sign up today.
